Pictoral of the house with the colour selection

There is a light....I can almost see it!

At the end of May we were told we would have PCI at end June, hand over and moving in Mid July. The end of June has come and gone and our SS has advised us there is a few problems with the painter. We are now looking at 2nd or 3rd week in July for PCI and probably first week of August for hand over.

Craig went to the house on Friday as we were advised not much had been done. The main thing was to take a look at the front porch and steps. We paid alot of money (2.5k) and we expected the porch and steps to look like the internal access steps. We received a call from our SS asking us if we were going to tile them, we said 'No, we were just going to leave it cement to match in with the drive way' (we thought it was going to be nice smooth concrete). The following day our SS called back and said the concrete is very rough and would need to be tiled. The porch is now going to be tiled, care if Masterton! Thanks for fixing this up :-)

On the flip side there was heaps done!! Balcony rails installed, tiling finished, first internal coat of paint tidyed up, water tank delivered. And the plumber that wasnt supposed to start till Tuesday was there. We were very lucky craig showed up on site as the plumber was about to leave. The plans he had said 'Leaver tapwear' and the taps delivered were normal taps. Craig rang me to double check what we had selected and the taps on site were correct. The plumber stayed a little longer and installed the taps. Problem solved!!

Alot has happened in a month...

Ok so it has been a while since my last post. I felt like it was dragging on. But we have a bright shining light at the end of our tunnel and we can just see a glimps of it!

Here is a quick run down of what has happend.

The Unveiling.

After 3 loooong weeks we have only been to the house once. We went down just before Easter to find nothing had been done in a week and got so upset we decided to only take the trip down once a fortnight. We went down on Saturday 21st April (surprising, no one was on site). Our SS had advised us the scaffolding should be removed on Fridays as this was holding everyone up. We arrived on site and found our house had been unveiled in all her glory, she stood tall.

Brick, roof and Eaves

31 March 2012

The colorbond roof was completed this week and it looks amazing. We are over the moon with how it looks.

24 March 2012

Roof trusses have finally been installed this week. We think they were delivered late when they were putting the frame up. But they make the box look like a house.

Also the gutters and fascia were completed on the main roof.

17 March 2012

Bricks completed and look fantastic. As soon as the rain cleared up the brickies got stuck in and they were completed quickly.

With rain progress is sloooooooooow.

Scaffolding and we are almost 3/4 done with the bricks. We went down for a sticky beak on Saturday and found not 1 or 2 but 6 brickys working on our house till 3pm. We were pretty stoked with that as they are only supposed to work till 12MD on Saturdays. Here are some update photos...

Bricks, beautiful bricks

05 March 2012

This week was a really bad week as Monday and Tuesday were the only 2 days it didn't rain. We were very surprised as to how much work actually got done..... Top job bricky!
